Lisa (she/her)
Hi, I'm Lisa. I am the founder of Letters from Lisa. I am a speech-language pathologist with a passion for helping people. I love that I get to put that passion into action with Letters from Lisa. Writing letters and managing the behind-the-scenes is my favorite past-time. I live with OCD, anxiety, and trichotillomania, and by helping others feel less alone through letters, it actually helps me feel less alone too. (You can see my full bio on the About tab).
Krystle (she/her)
Hi I'm Krystle. I'm new around here! I am a mom of a really awesome 4-1/2-year-old, a nurse, I have a degree in Psychology, and I live with mental illnesses. I like going on adventures, being outside and around nature, and teaching myself new things.
As someone who treats people as well as a person who is treated by people, I find myself in a unique position to support and validate others who may be struggling. I know what it feels like to struggle and feel as though you don't matter. For me, it's been the most unexpected, tiny things that have had the greatest impact on my head space, even if for a short bit. This is why I found myself drawn to Letters From Lisa!
It is super important to support others- whether it be a friend or a stranger. I want to help de-stigmatize mental health, because it is still weaponized against people. The narrative that mental health is less important than physical health needs to change. I hope that I can support others through Letters from Lisa, because I just want everyone to know that it is okay to not be okay. Your feelings matter. You matter. Others do not define your self-worth.
Amber (she/her)
Hey there! I'm Amber, I'm 23, and I live in a small town in New England. I have had a relationship to OCD from a very early age, but I didn't get diagnosed until I was 19. My goal as a writer is to provide as much support and love as I can for all the OCD heroes in the world. Throughout this journey up the mountain that is OCD, you will have someone, us, in your corner.
